Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a darker AAA action adventure based on the acclaimed comic miniseries.
Its story follows the last surviving Turtle on a desperate mission for vengeance through a battle-scarred future New York.
The earlier version being developed by Black Forest Games was stopped before Paramount decided to revive the project.The new game is now in the hands of PlatinumGames, the studio behind Bayonetta, NieR: Automata and Metal Gear Rising.
The God of War comparison came from the previous concept, while combat details for Platinum’s new version have not been fully revealed. A grim Turtle story mixed with Platinum’s action experience sounds promising, but I want to see real gameplay before calling it a perfect match.
